Intimate post lockdown micro-wedding at Random Hall. Melita & Cameron, April 2021

Melita's and Cameron's wedding was one of the first ones TKP had the pleasure of attending since the lockdown has been lifted, thus it felt very special to write this feature. Limited to 15 people, it was nonetheless a beautiful celebration of love and joy! We were as excited as our lovely couple - after many months of postponements, reschedules and cancellations, it was finally happening.

"TKP captured our day perfectly. Not only were they super fun and engaging and felt like a friend, but also total professionals, who photographed the most beautiful moments of our day. We still can’t stop looking at our photos! "

CHILDHOOD SWEETHEARTS BUT NOT REALLY! Melita and Cameron went to school together from the age of 11, but their paths never properly crossed. Years after leaving school, they met in a local bar through mutual friends...and the rest is history!

"Cameron proposed in our special place, “Porec, Croatia” - I am half Croatian and it’s where my parents met and got married. It was our first holiday destination together, where we first said I love you and where we go every year on a family holiday. He arranged a speed boat to a private island, where we had a candle light dinner on the sea front. It was straight out of a fairy tale!"

WEDDING. They got married in their local church and had an intimate reception at Random hall - a 16th century farmhouse, Rather than postpone due to covid restrictions, Melita and Cameron decided to go ahead with 15 of their closest family and friends and make the day totally about them and their marriage!

"It was the best decision we ever made. The venue is laid back, beautiful and whimsical, and was perfect for the intimate vibe we wanted. We are also having a big party on our 1 year anniversary at the same place to celebrate with all our family and friends that couldn’t be there."

It only took the couple a couple of months to organize their big day - as soon as they had the venue it was go go go!

The wedding was a classic/ rustic vibe, according to Melita "you can’t beat a black tie suit and classic white roses!" She also is a firm believer that you do not have to spend a lot to have a fabulous time and for things to look beautiful. We absolutely agree!!!

WEDDING DRESS. Maggie Sottero, sleeved illusion lace dress. Australia’s Maggie Sottero gowns are the crème de la crème of bridal gowns. With a perfect fit, stunning designs and individual options available they are sure to have a dress to wow any bride.

"It was actually the first dress I tried on, in the first and only shop I went to- I had spotted it through the window when we arrived and when I tried it on it felt like the one. I was very lucky that my parents kindly bought me my dress."

HIGHLIGHT OF THE DAY. Announcing they are expecting a baby!

"It was such a magical surprise no one was expecting! I was 4 months pregnant when we got married and we now have a beautiful daughter called Laia-Lucia."

ADVICE. Melita's advice is try not feel pressured to please others - make this day about you and how you envision it to be.
